The club of the English championship (the second most powerful division in the country – approx. “SE”) “Derby County” is experiencing serious financial problems and incurs heavy losses. External management was introduced in the club, but as a punishment for failure to fulfill financial guarantees, 12 points in the standings were removed from Derby, according to the league’s website.

At this point, the club was in 12th place in the championship with 10 points.

The current owner and chairman of the board of Derby, web site Mel Morris, was forced to ask the English League (EFL) to find a buyer. Derby lost 1.3 to 1.5 million pounds each month during the pandemic.

Recall that the head coach of the club is the former striker of Manchester United and England, Wayne Rooney.
